Such a Strange Acorn

Such a strange acorn, I am.

Those closest to me know just how much I adore Christmas. The twinkling lights. Baking. Decorating. Singing Carols. Movie classics. (which I have already began to watch) Family gatherings. And the tree in all its intricate detailing and elegance. Almost each ornament holds a precious memory from its giver.

However, with the Holidays soon approaching, I must not look too far ahead, otherwise missing the Glory of Fall.

Autumn is our gentle friend. Our cozy companion who whispers softly through her swaying branches. Her brilliant honesty paints the countryside in all her grandeur of ambers, reds, greens and plums. As her leaves fall and flutter about in a magnificent dance, a soft reminder she sends. There is astonishing beauty in the colors of change.
