Seasons and Change

I awoke a few days past, excited to discover the branches outside my bedroom window were covered with delicate white flowers. The blooms had burst forth during the night and now danced in sunlight while a gentle breeze blew them to and fro. Such joy lept within my heart as its beats joined along in harmonious suit. 

Each Season brings intricate details of their own. Autumn comes with its amber bursts that clothe the forest trees in Splendor. It is our Master's brush that has swept over creation. Cooler temperatures are found refreshing as we gaze upon the beauty all around.

Winter days grow shorter as night fall descends at an earlier hour. Snowflakes drift downward, each one of their own design. Holidays arrive as do our out of towners. And as frigged temperatures drop, animals hibernate dreaming of warmer days to come.

The days of Spring come longer, and lighter. Rain showers nourish the green growth peeking through earth's soil. Colored eggs, Easter Service, little girls in pink bonnets. Children squeal with delight as they run and play at local playgrounds.

Then Summer arrives in all its Glory. Gardens bright and beautiful. The warmth of the sun upon our face. Summer Break, swimming pools, bicycle riding. Mouthwatering smells fill the air from nearby cookouts as later exuberant laughter fill back yards with children running to and fro. Fireflies in glass containers are then released back into their night air.

Just as the Seasons change so do the circumstances of our lives. Hardships will come and go, bringing in times of plenty. With love comes loss. But through the interchanging pulse of life remains an everlasting truth. God promises to never leave nor forsake us. His love is woven throughout eternity. Forever constant. Forever true.
