The Call to Forgiveness and Redemption

One word comes to mind as I regard my younger brother in this photograph taken many years ago. That word being, 'Redemption'. More so, his very need of absolution that can only truly come through the blood of our Savior. The Lord does not just look at our sins, He sees deep into our heart all the potential He created within us, believing in our ability to walk in the Grace and Freedom He offers us. Minute by minute. Hour by hour. Day by day. But if you only knew what my brother has done....? What then? The answer is found inside this following question. What makes you or I any less of a sinner or be any more worthy to be pardoned of our iniquities? Not a thing! We are all equally loved by Jesus.

If, Mark 3:28 declares, "I tell you the truth, all the sins and blasphemies of men will be forgiven them.", then whom am I not to forgive as well. Furthermore, in Matthew 6:14-15 ( PHILLIPS translation)  Jesus teaches us, "For if you forgive other people their failures, your Heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you will not forgive other people, neither will your Heavenly Father forgive you your failures."

I walk in that freedom of forgiveness, redemption, and the miracle of the release and forgiving those who have wounded me. I embrace them all as the beautifully broken individuals that they are. That we all are. Now what can be more Glorious than that? Not a thing!
