A House Remembers

I recently heard that, “A house remembers everyone who ever lived in it.” What a quaint idea. It began me thinking of all the beautiful faces who have entered through our doorway. Many whom have impacted our lives, leaving beautiful imprints upon our hearts. Loved ones who have gone on to Eternal Glory. Tiny hands and precious little faces. Sipping hot tea over warm conversation. Classmates of our children, growing and learning together, side-by-side. Holiday gatherings. Birthday and Graduation celebrations. Warm, “Hellos”, with some teary, “Good-byes”.
Whether or not a house remembers, I do. So. Know this. With immense admiration and deep appreciation, I will always remember you.

This Remarkable Four-Letter Word

Love. This remarkable four-letter word is something that no one can live without. In clarity, love has no doubts. It goes beyond and has no limit. Love is blind to our faults and imperfections. It has no remembrance of wrongs. Love is a cherisher of time. It holds dear to the greatest of treasures, our beloveds. Love listens and bides its tongue. It speaks encouragement to the downcast and holds up the weary. Loves song rings out in vibrant laughter. It is memory. It is priceless. And it is the course to which we are called.

The Invite

The invitation was sent.
The tea is poured.
The table is set.
The sweet aroma of fresh flowers fills the air.
The invitation is for you.
The sender, your Creator.
Come to His table.
He wishes to celebrate His brilliant masterpiece.
To lavish His love upon you.
For you, child, He waits.
Will you not answer?
