There are
moments in our lives that define our character. That we learn from. Grow from.
I would like to share three positive and life altering experiences of
great significance.
Hearing the
first cries of my son and two daughters after laboring long. Tears of joy
dampened my cheeks as they were placed into my longing arms. The moment I
became a Mama to each one of these unique and irreplaceable souls, I knew that
this was my life’s calling. To love unconditionally. To cherish their beautiful,
uniqueness. To teach them right from wrong. The importance of forgiveness. To
offer grace and understanding. And, the love of their Heavenly Father who knit
them together within my womb and created them each, with great purpose.
The day that
I drove my son to college. Freshman year. No longer a boy, now a man. To find
his way and whom he was created to be. To become. His Mom to let go and let
God. To remain a constant beacon of love and encouragement to continue to grow
from.
The year I
was privileged to be present as my paternal Grandmother breathed her last
breath and entered eternity. Though my heart ached deep her loss, it was a
paramount experience. A reminder how fragile life can be. Yet, so precious.
I implore you
today to recall upon your most joy filled memories. To be reminded each day
brings new beginnings and has much potential to change our circumstance. It is the utmost importance to cherish each
day and everyone in it. To make each day count as if it were our last. And to
live a life worth remembering.
“I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation….
I have strength for all things in Christ Who empowers me.” ~ Philippians
