He calls us to Jump off the precipice,
Though we know not what is below.
To freefall into trust.
He offers us peace,
Through the confusion and noise.
He breaks the chains that bind,
Just at the mention of His name.
He gives us faith to walk on water,
Though the waves rage on
He takes our hand and walks us through.
So, we dive into the waters of His grace.
Knowing He is with us always.
As a child and even now, I enjoy the hunt for the monarch caterpillars found within tall Milkweeds that line fence rows, in fields, and in tall grasses.
An even greater treasure yet is the discovery of a Monarch Chrysalis.
For it is within, a remarkable transformation is taking place.
The miracle of metamorphosis.
Upon tasting, God’s goodness, we read in Ezekiel 36:26, “I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.”
The Monarch Butterfly emerges with intricately beautiful wings of deep orange. Her metamorphosis is complete, she flies away, wings shimmering in a summer’s sun.
Just as we will continue through seasons of transformation, until that glorious day when we cross over to the other side.
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, they are a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come!” ~ 2 Corinthians 5:17
