I've Got the Joy Joy Joy Joy Down in my Heart

There is something to be said about Joy. Joy is contagious. As one smiles at another most likely they will return the smile. It is a light that draws others in. A brilliant flame dancing within, evident to the wounded, downtrodden, and all others to perceive.

Where does such joy come from you ask? Here in Ezekiel 36:26-27a, the answer is penned for all to read. "I [God] will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. And I will put my Spirit in you..." emphasis added. Redemption. God cleansed His people of their rebellious ways. A spiritual surgery per say. And this is what has taken place within the compounds of my own life.

Though, there are days now more than ever before that the enemy seems relentless to steal that joy. My joy. As this is his purpose in life. "The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy;" John10:10.
Since the dawn of time man has swam in oceans of deception, heartache, illness, and tragedy. Oh, but so much more are found between the waves. An elegant wedding in which two souls promise to love, honor, and cherish each other until death does part. The miracle of a newborns cry. A rainbow above painted in sunlit skies. Ice cream dripping down small, smiling faces. Budding blooms. A song birds tune. And so much more.

I am a work in progress. Always shall be. But I want to be recognized and remembered for being one who loved deep. Extended Grace. Forgave as I have been forgiven. That wore a smile upon my face and found JOY in the world around me.
