Let’s face it. This Mom thing is crazy HARD! For my youngest, now 12, our days of bubble blowing, bedtime stories and rocking chairs have been left far behind. It is a different era. As my daughter is discovering who she is and finding out where her place is in this big, wide world of ours, I too am learning where my place lies as her Mama.
More
days than not, I’ve beat myself up for missing the mark. Failing at the
opportunities to guide and not discourage. To discipline, not punish. To
embrace it all. I am learning, just as I
did with my elder three, on the days that I am not enough, He is enough. He
fills the gaps where I am unable. I have a great purpose. One of ultimate
importance which is raising my Emma to be the unique creation she is. I
may not have all the answers, but I can point her to the One Who does.
Yes!
This Mom thing is crazy hard. But. It is SO worth it!
