A Time to Celebrate

Her sweet voice sung out into the evening air as she tenderly strummed her ukulele. A love song this young woman had chosen as a wedding gift to the Bride and Groom. A love song that touched us all.

After the Wedding Ceremony there was much to celebrate. As we finished our last bites of deliciousness, we were moved and entertained by several speeches as we toasted the Newly Weds. As the ringing and clinking of champagne flutes filled the room, soft, colored lights lit-up the glass dance floor as our friends took to it for their first dance.

I love dancing. I love to watch others dance. Their expressions they wear upon their faces. Slow dances with eyes shut tight, lips whispering, "I love you's", as heads rest upon their partners shoulder. Then as the beat picks up, a genre of new and old favorites begin to play, all ages take to the dance floor. No matter if they have rhythm or not, they dance their hearts out. I love this part. The smiles. The laughter. The Joy. Toward night's end, I could not help but to kick off my heels, take my husbands hand, and join in the Celebration.

First time able to dance in years, I felt such happiness throughout. I love my God. I love to Celebrate Him. I love to lift my voice in song. I love to share of His Greatness with others. I especially find immense pleasure in taking part of the union between a man and his wife, as I did so this Saturday past.

"My heart is steadfast, O God, my heart is steadfast; I will sing and make music. Awake, my soul! Awake, harp and lyre! I will awaken the dawn." ~ Psalm 57:7-8

"There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under Heaven....a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance." ~ Ecclesiastes 3:1;4
