Time to De-Clutter
A Netflix series, 'Tidying Up with Marie Kondo', has been sweeping the Nation. This darling, exuberant, Japanese gal is welcomed into homes to inspire and encourage through the, 'Konmari Method'. Simply an approach to tackling your belongings category-by-category. Something which has caught on here with my two youngest daughters and me. A lesson in true importance which brings peace of mind and a much-organized home.
But what about our minds? The home in which all our thoughts live. Our hopes and dreams. Victory, defeat. Sadness and gladness. Memories of all sorts. It has come time to de-clutter mine. To invite the Holy Spirit to help me with the organization of my thought process. To clean house and sweep out every corner within. To take my overwhelming concerns, place them in my Father's hands, and replace them with trust. To sort through memories, edit, and keep only the good ones. To change my way of thinking and to return to a heart of thanksgiving in all times. In all situations. To have strength surge through my veins and joy shine outward. To throw open the sash and allow the rushing wind of Grace blow in.
Our minds are made up of winding rivers that affect how we think and live. I choose not to live in a life of defeat but victory, no matter what my physical well-being. To keep my mind clean from all the negativity of this world. Of my circumstance. God is a God of truth. Of promise. Of light. And that is what will fill each and every crevice of my mind. What fills yours?
"...and we take captive every thought and imagination to make it obedient to Christ."
~ 2 Corinthians 10:5
